Monkeypox

Information below from the CDC about the 2022 U.S. Monkeypox Outbreak and how to protect yourself and your community. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my office via my contact form.

If you feel that you have been exposed or are showing symptoms of Monkeypox, please see your health care provider who can provide testing. If you do not have a healthcare provider and need to be tested, visit one of San Diego County’s STD clinics listed here: Visit a County STD Clinic (sandiegocounty.gov).

Currently, San Diego County is prioritizing vaccinations for high-risk populations including men who have sex with men, transgender individuals, and/or those who have attended festivals with high infection rates. Individuals who are in high-risk categories can call 2-1-1 for vaccine opportunities.
