Rep. Sara Jacobs Statement on Niger

Rep. Sara Jacobs (CA-51), Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa, released the following statement regarding the unfolding situation in Niger:

“The unfolding situation in Niger could be the latest in a string of coups in the Sahel. President Bazoum must be released and the constitutional order restored. But beyond that, we need to rethink our approach to promoting good governance in the region.”
