Congresswoman Sara Jacobs to Spend Thanksgiving with Servicemembers and Veterans in South Korea

San Diego, CA. - This Thanksgiving week, Congresswoman Sara Jacobs (D-CA-53) is visiting servicemembers in Asia as part of an official congressional delegation trip to Japan and South Korea organized by House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Mark Takano. Earlier this week, Congresswoman Jacobs met with servicemembers and veterans in Okinawa, and with government officials in South Korea. Photos posted on Twitter here.

On Thanksgiving Day, Congresswoman Jacobs will have Thanksgiving lunch with active duty servicemembers and have Thanksgiving dinner with veterans in South Korea.

“As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for our servicemembers, many of whom are stationed far away from their families and haven’t been able to visit because of Covid. I am looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with them in South Korea to thank them for their service and sacrifice,” said Congresswoman Jacobs.

Jacobs is a member of the House Armed Services Committee and House Foreign Affairs Committee.
