Congresswoman Jacobs Elected Vice Chair of Future Forum

Future Forum is a generational caucus for young House Democrats

Today, Congresswoman Sara Jacobs (D-CA-53) was elected Vice Chair of Future Forum, a generational caucus for young House Democrats. Congresswoman Jacobs, 32, is the youngest Member of Future Forum, the youngest Member in the California delegation, and the third youngest Member in all of Congress.

Founded in 2015, Future Forum is dedicated to amplifying the voices of young Democratic Members, connecting young people with Congress, and encouraging public service and civic engagement. The caucus is chaired by Congressman Darren Soto (D-FL-09), with Congressman Colin Allred (D-TX-32) and Congresswoman Haley Stevens (D-MI-11) serving alongside Congresswoman Jacobs as Vice Chairs.

Congresswoman Sara Jacobs releases the following statement:

“I am honored and excited to be selected by my peers to serve as Vice Chair of Future Forum. As one of the youngest Members of Congress, I’m proud to bring a new generation of leadership to Washington.

“Millennials have been hit hard by endless war, an unfair economy, and now a global pandemic. As we restore our democracy and build a more equitable economy, we have to make sure that young people have a seat at the table.

“I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues in Future Forum, including Chair Soto and my fellow Vice Chairs Stevens and Allred, to accomplish that.”
