Rep. Sara Jacobs Votes to Fund the Government through Dec. 16
Congresswoman Sara Jacobs (CA-53) voted today to pass the continuing resolution (H.R. 6833) to fund the federal government through December 16th. The bill also includes more than $12 billion in funding for Ukraine to defend itself against Russia.
“Funding the government is Congress’ most basic responsibility, so I’m glad we could get it done today,” said Congresswoman Sara Jacobs. “Although this bill is only a temporary stop-gap until December, it continues funding vital federal agencies and programs, like early childhood education, nutrition assistance, veterans’ support, and housing that’s affordable. It also reduces families’ costs and helps small businesses and communities recover from natural disasters. As Putin illegally annexes more territory in Ukraine today, this bill is well-timed to help Ukraine defend its people and territory and promote democracy.”
